Bonaventure was featured in Connect CRE in an article highlighting the groundbreaking of Attain at Greenbrier, a $74.5 million multifamily development in Chesapeake, Virginia.
The article notes that the 268-unit community will be located at 1553 River Birch Run in Chesapeake’s Greenbrier submarket and is expected to be completed in late 2027. The site was previously home to a commercial call center before Bonaventure acquired and rezoned it in 2022 to support new residential density.
Connect CRE also highlights the project’s financing structure, which includes equity raised from Bonaventure’s network of investors and long-duration debt through a HUD Section 221(d)(4) loan originated through Walker & Dunlop. The financing provides both construction and permanent financing through a single, fully amortizing 40-year execution.
Attain at Greenbrier will include three four-story buildings with 268 total residences, offering a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments averaging 1,037 square feet. The project team includes Marlyn Development Corporation as general contractor, RBA as architect, Timmons Group as civil engineer and Bonaventure affiliate Vest Residential as property manager.
